West ISD ESSER I-III Grant Information

The American Rescue Plan Act, passed on March 11, 2021, provided $122.7 billion in supplemental ESSER funding, known as the ESSER III fund. West ISD along with all other schools across the United States were provided the opportunity to apply for grant funding to offset COVID-19 expenses and help students close any learning losses during the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years. West ISD was eligible to receive initial and remaining awards of $1,666,510.00 in funding from this grant. There were fifteen (15) eligible expenses for this grant, and the District gathered survey data and reviewed student achievement data about how best to utilize these funds to help our students make progress and gain back any learning losses from the pandemic.
