Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Program

The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) was created by the Texas Legislature as part of House Bill 3 to provide a realistic pathway for top teachers to earn six-figure salaries and to help attract and retain highly effective teachers at traditionally hard-to-staff schools.

West ISD is one of two, Region 12 (greater Waco area) school districts that is currently in TIA Cohort C. West ISD is part of the Rural District side of the program with a Pay Scale Range of $3,000-$32,000 for each applicable teacher (i.e., Met the state-approved application criteria). For the 2021-2022 school year, West ISD distributed right at $50,000 in TIA pay amongst six West ISD teachers. For the 2022-2023 school year, West ISD distributed right at $160,000 in TIA pay amongst fourteen West ISD teachers.
