Below, you will find registration and enrollment information for new and returning students, school supply information, immunization information, and important back-to-school dates and activities. Calendar Information:

2025-2026 West ISD Scholastic Calendar

  • The first day of school is set for Thursday, August 14, 2025.
  • The West Elementary School start time is 7:45 AM, and West Middle/High School begins at 8:00 AM. 
  • Please note the new ending times are 3:30 PM for West Elementary School and 3:45 PM for West Middle/High School.

Prekindergarten Program Enrollment News:

For the 2025-2026 school year, the West ISD Prekindergarten program is tuition-free for all students. 

 
School Supply Lists:

Note: The West High School and Dual Credit teachers will send out their school supply lists via Parent Square, during the "Schedule Pick-Up Time," or on the first day of school.

Transportation:

Notes: New families will be told by the campus registrars to contact the West ISD Transportation Department about bus route and stop times. The transportation department contact is Mrs. Maler. Returning families will only be contacted by the West ISD Transportation Department if their bus route, driver, and/or stop times are different from last year.

Note: The dates on the Immunization Requirements document are correct. The requirements have not changed since 2018-2019.

Food Services:

For the 2025-2026 school year, breakfast and lunch will be provided by the district for all students. 

Returning to West ISD Student Online Registration: OPENS ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 23, 2025

Step One: The parent/guardian will log in to Skyward Family Access to register their child/children at Skyward Family Access. The parent/guardian must fill out all forms online this year. If a parent/guardian cannot remember their Family Access username/password, they can click the forgot password link to reset their password.  


Step Two: The parent/guardian must provide a hard copy of the following to the campus front office:

  • Child’s Immunization Record (if any updates from prior school year)
  • Proof of Residence 
    • Water Bill from July or August 2025
    • Electric Bill from July or August 2025
    • Gas Bill from July or August 2025
    • Current Rental/Lease Agreement (must be for the parent/guardian trying to enroll the child)
    • Returning families may email a copy of the Proof of Residence to the campus registrar. The email addresses are:

New to West ISD Student Registration: OPENS ON WEDNESDAY, JULY 23, 2025

Step One: The parent/guardian must bring the following to the campus front office when they wish to enroll their child/children:

  • Child’s Birth Certificate
  • Child’s Social Security Card
  • Child’s Immunization Record
  • Proof of Residence
    • Water Bill from July or August 2025
    • Electric Bill from July or August 2025
    • Gas Bill from July or August 2025
    • Current Rental/Lease Agreement (must be for the parent/guardian trying to enroll the child)
  • Parent/Guardian Driver’s License to the campus front office which their child/children will attend school

Step Two: After the parent/guardian provides the above documentation, he/she will be provided a username and password to complete his/her child/children’s registration online in Skyward at New Student Online Registration Link. Please contact the campus front office for your new student for further information. Students will not be enrolled in classes until all documentation is provided and online registration is completed.


Campus Hours:

Campuses will be open to accept registration documents during the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, July 23, through Thursday, July 24, 2025: 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
    • The campus front office team will be out each day for lunch from 12:00-1:00 PM. 
  • Monday, July 28, through Thursday, July 31, 2025: 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
    • The campus front office team will be out each day for lunch from 12:00-1:00 PM. 
  • Monday, August 4, through Friday, August 8, 2025: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
    • Please note the West ISD Inservice Schedule begins the week of Monday, August 4, 2025, and the campus registrar will have required trainings to attend over these eight days. Please consider calling the campus front office ahead of time to ensure the campus registrar is available. 
    • All district staff will attend District Convocation on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 10:30 AM until 1:00 PM. The campus registrar will not be able to assist with registration during this time. 
    • The campus front office team will be out each day for lunch from 12:00-1:00 PM. 
  • Monday, August 11, through Wednesday, August 13, 2025: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
    • The campus front office team will be out each day for lunch from 12:00-1:00 PM. 
    • Please note the West ISD Inservice Schedule begins the week of Monday, August 4, 2025, and the campus registrar will have required trainings to attend over these eight days. Please consider calling the campus front office ahead of time to ensure the campus registrar is available.
