LEAD Mentor Program Information Breakfast

This Friday, August 14, 2026, West ISD is set to host the Greater Waco Chamber of Commerce LEAD Mentor Program Information Breakfast from 8:00-8:45 AM at the West ISD Administration Building (406 W. Shook Street). 

The Leadership, Education, and Development (LEAD) Mentor Program is a business-and-education partnership that matches local high school students with industry professionals to guide their academic and career journeys. For students at West High School, participating in LEAD provides regular access to bi-monthly mentor meetings, local business and college campus tours, and hands-on networking events designed to expand their knowledge of post-secondary and regional career pathways. Beyond career exploration and essential leadership skill-building, West High School students benefit from personalized advice on higher education and gain exclusive eligibility to apply for annual LEAD scholarships. Ultimately, the program empowers West High students to transition seamlessly from high school into higher education, technical training, or high-demand careers in Greater Waco.
