West High School FFA News
- The FFA Senior Skills Team is set to compete at STATE this Friday, December 5, 2025, in Huntsville. Team members are: Helen Adam, TJ Adam, Marley Miller, and David Willis.

Over the weekend at the Showdown on the Bosque, the following students won big:
- Hartley Kutscherousky: Champion Lightweight Goat, 3rd Overall Goat, Champion Berkshire, Dark OPB, Yorkshire, Reserve Champion Berkshire and Dark Cross, Champion Senior Showmanship (Pigs), Reserve Overall Gilt and Market Pig, and 5th Overall Pig.
- Brighton Meurer: Champion Junior Steer Showmanship, Champion Exotic Steer, and Reserve Overall Steer.
- Brexley Meurer: Champion Peewee Steer Showmanship, Champion British, and 5th Overall Steer.
Concession Stand Volunteer Needs

- The West Athletic Booster Club (WABC) has announced ticket sales for their big fundraiser dinner. Here's the link to purchase tickets: https://wabc.boosterhub.com/store/10721. The dinner is set for Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the KC Hall.
- The Pride of West Band Boosters have announced ticket sales for their big fundraiser dinner as well. Here's the link to purchase tickets: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/annual-band-fiesta. The dinner is set for Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Tour's Hall.

- This program is a fun, new way to honor a West ISD staff member. The district's hope is that students, parents, community members, and/or co-workers will send in nominations for this new Staff Spotlight honor. - Today, Monday, December 1, 2025, Progress Report 4 is available in Skyward Parent and Student Access. The last day of the Fall Semester and Grading Period 2 is Friday, December 19, 2025.
- West High School's 2026-2027 Course Selection Meetings are set for this week. Please see this week's West High School Parent Square for more information.
- If you have a West High School student retaking one of the high school STAAR End-of-Course (EOC) exams, please see the schedule highlighted below in blue on the calendar. For more information, please reach out to Mrs. Jana Pratka at (254) 981-2050.
- This Sunday, December 7, 2025, is the West High School Junior Historians Community Performance at 2:00 PM in the West Middle and High School Arena.
- The Christmas Break begins on Monday, December 22, 2025, and lasts through Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Friday, December 19, 2025, is an Early Release Day for all students. West Elementary School will release at 11:45 AM with West Middle and High School following at 12:00 PM.
