West ISD Set to Hold Auction of District Surplus Items

On Saturday, December 10, 2016, at 10:00 AM at 406 W. Shook Street, West ISD is set to hold a Community Auction of District Surplus Items. The auction will be hosted by Garner and Associates Auctioneers. This auction contains classroom, office, and lab furniture, school buses, classroom and lab resources, temporary buildings, kitchen equipment, lockers, scoreboards, and much more. West ISD Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony for New West High School Baseball and Softball Complex

On Wednesday, November 30, 2016, district and city officials held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new West High School Baseball and Softball complex. The complex will include two turfed fields, raised stands and press boxes, dugouts, bullpen areas, batting cages, lights, scoreboards, and many other amenities for the UIL Class 3A State Champion Trojan Baseball and Lady Trojan Softball teams. The start date for the project is Monday, December 5, 2016. The architect for the project is Huckabee, and the construction company is Bartlett Cocke. Legacy West Education Foundation Announces New West High School Legacy Walk Brick Orders

The bricks are ideal for Christmas, graduation, and birthday gifts. They provide a meaningful way to honor or memorialize a friend or relative, an organization or an event that is special to you. This is a unique opportunity to have your name, the names of your children and/or grandchildren, or other loved ones permanently displayed in the walk leading to the new school. The TAPR provides information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas. West ISD Publishes Community and Student Engagement Ratings for 2015-2016

House Bill 5 (HB 5) of the 83rd Texas Legislature Regular Session added Section 39.0545 to the Texas Education Code (TEC). TEC § 39.0545 requires that each school district assign ratings for the district and each campus on both overall performance and each of nine factors related to community and student engagement.
