Over the next few weeks, West ISD will continue to raise funds for families at Latham Springs and across the West community who have been displaced by the storms and rising water of Hurricane Harvey. Please consider giving via our donation buckets at all West ISD Athletic Events and the special dress days at our campuses. Trojans love to give back and serve, so let's make a difference in the lives of our new families to West. Additionally, the West High School FFA and Student Council are also collecting donations. For additional information, please contact David Truitt, Superintendent, at (254) 981-2000.
With the recent passage of Senate Bill 179 or David's Law, West ISD has been working to adopt certain practices and procedures to prevent and respond to bullying and cyberbullying, expand district jurisdiction for off-campus cyberbullying, and establish civil and criminal consequences for certain types of bullying.
Over the summer, West ISD has prepared a plan and response for each of this Senate Bill's provisions. This website highlights several of the updates, as well as all bully incident reporting options. For additional information, please contact David Truitt, Superintendent, at (254) 981-2000.
