District History

To learn more about the history of West and West ISD, West High School graduate, Margie Mashek Davis, researched and wrote the following resource: West is Best: Local Community History - 1850-2015.

For the opening of the new West Middle and High School in August 2016, Huckabee Architects produced a documentary titled, "A Bright Future: West Rises Up", which highlighted the district's journey following the West Fertilizer Plant explosion.
