Welcome to the WMS Counseling Center.  The Counseling Center provides guidance to all students through classroom presentations and school wide programs.  We strive to help students with academic, social, and personal concerns.

All WMS students participate in TAKS testing.  As a part of the Student Success Initiative, all 8th graders are required to pass the Reading and Math portions of the test. Students who do not pass Reading and Math on the first administration will have two additional opportunities to achieve success.  8th graders will also test in the areas of Science and Social Studies.  7th grade students will participate in the Writing, Reading, and Math TAKS.  6th graders will test in Reading and Math only.  The Finish Line program provides assistance to students for TAKS preparation.
