Greetings from West High School! I am excited about joining the district as Assistant Principal and serving the students and families of West. I am a native of the Waco area; I attended La Vega schools and enjoyed the opportunity to give something back to the community by teaching English and coaching there for nearly a decade. Most recently, I served as Assistant Principal at Comfort Elementary School in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Baylor University, and acquired certification for the principalship from Schreiner University. My wife Michelle and I have been married since 1998, and have been richly blessed with our children Christopher, Madeleine, and Katherine.
As we kick off the 2007-2008 school year, several new staff will be joining forces with West veterans to make West High School the “place to be.” We have an opportunity to build on rich tradition, yet craft an environment that is fresh and exciting for our students. The support and enthusiasm of the community will remain invaluable as we pursue excellence in education and strive to equip our outstanding young men and women with the skills for success.
